I have an extremely small space to work with - no kitchen counter and not a full sink. A gadget like this helps save me a lot of work and frustration with food prep. I could immediately use it and it was easy to clean with a rinse then put in the dishwasher. It cut up firmer things very well but struggled with finer foods and leafy foods like lettuce, blackberries, or kiwi. I made the delicious food bowl with a couple add-ins and it was fresh and delicious for days! A wonderful addition to my pantry! Also it is fun and slightly therapeutic to slap the thing and make food out of it.

This would get a 5 star from me except my husband and I have both been brutally sliced by the blades. I think the product works great, chops in a jiffy with minimal effort. However, while trying to unattach the small blades square I touched the blade (not pushed on or messed with, literally barely touched) and sliced my finger open. My husband had done the same thing on the last use. The Caution writing is the same color as the unit so not easily seen. We love the functionality of this, but given how difficult the unit is to clean we have to run it through the dishwasher and worry our kids will slice their hands if they handle it. It would have been ideal for there to be greater safety considerations put into fool-proofing around the blades, even the storage of them doesn’t seem safe and well thought out. Simple plastic sheets to cover them could have done wonders. If you have kids who do the dishes, be sure to take time to familiarize yourself and educate those using the unit.

I had actually forgotten I purchased this product because I became ill right after receiving it. My doctor recently recommended the FODMAP diet, so I pulled this product out and went to work. I don't think I use as most people do as I can't have onions, garlic, or mushrooms...however, I can have aged cheddar cheese, which I purchased from Wisconsin via Amazon and this works quit well in making cubes out of the big chunks of cheese. I just cut the larger chunks in half, and they fit perfectly on the grate. In less than a minute, I have made numerous chunks out of the entire block and move onto the next one. I also make hard boiled eggs by the half dozen, take the shell off, slice them in half, place them on the grate, and viola', I have eggs for my tuna salad, regular salad, or whatever. Dicing potatoes, and baby carrots, are a breeze to toss with some olive oil and put in the oven. I'm disabled so I can only stand for a few minutes at a time. But the lid on this makes it easy for me to step away for a few minutes to get my strength back. It's a real game changer for me since I have been unable to prepare my own food for quite some time. When it's time to replace it, I will get the 6 in one, so I have the egg slicer attachment it shows in one of the videos. For the price, and all it can do...It's worth it to me if I have to buy a new one every 6 months. It's well worth the money.
